Schizophrenic Music Taste
For Valentine’s Day my wife and I went to see the Dave Brubeck Quartet when they performed at the Hugh Hodgson School of Music at the University of Georgia. Dave Brubeck is the piano player and the first gentleman you see in the video below. Can you believe that he’s 88 now and still playing?
Then last week Flynn and I went to see Flogging Molly perform at the Tabernacle in Atlanta after a friend had to give up her tickets. I’d never really listened to them much before Thursday, but I will now. Damn, they put on one helluva show.
Then the other day I heard “Boy With A Coin” by Iron and Wine and thought it was one of the most beautiful songs I’ve heard in long long time.
Is my taste in music weird, eclectic, or some might say just plain bad?
Whatever it is, it seems to work for me.
